14 Apr Winkfield Parish Council Launches Neighbourhood Development Plan Consultation
Winkfield Parish Council ask residents to have their say
‘Every opinion really is vital’
The Winkfield Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) consultation period is currently open and closes on 29 April.
Winkfield Parish Council (WPC) Chairman, Emily Blyth, encourages residents to look at the Plan online. She said:
“The Neighbourhood Development Plan is an opportunity for the people of Winkfield to have their say in what our Parish might look like in future years, so every opinion really is vital.
I would encourage everyone to log on to the NDP website and take a look at the plan. Working together with the Parish Council and residents, we can produce a document that helps protect the character and beauty of our lovely Parish for future generations to enjoy.”
The Plan and supporting documents are found online at www.winkfieldnp.org/pre-submission
The Pre-Submission Plan 6-week public consultation period is a legal requirement before the NDP can be submitted to the local authority.
There will be another consultation at Bracknell Forest Borough submission stage, expected this Summer.
Neighbourhood Development Plans take many years to develop and become effective. The Winkfield Parish area has already been polled in 2016 for its views.
The NDP is unable to take effect until the majority of local people agree to it at a referendum or voting stage, which is expected December 2022 or early 2023.
